A campus unit may transfer or sell item(s) to another campus unit in the same or a different department.
Example #1: Transfer or sale of item(s) from one unit or another unit in the same department
MCB-LSA (a unit within the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology) may transfer or sell an item to MCB-Barker (another unit within the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology) without Cal Overstock & Surplus involvement.
Example #2: Transfer or sale of item(s) from one unit in one department to another unit in a different department
Bergman Research Group (a unit within the Department of Chemistry) may transfer or sell an item(s) to The Bustamante Lab (a unit within the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB)) without Cal Overstock & Surplus involvement.
Note that the originating departmental unit equipment custodian must submit an Equipment Inventory Modification Request (EIMR) through the Berkeley Equipment Tracking System (BETS) in both cases cited above.
