Supplier Diversity Program

The Program promotes business relationships and contract opportunities for small, local, and diverse businesses wishing to provide goods and services to the University community.

The Supplier Diversity Program Coordinator
  • Educates small business suppliers on how to foster relationships and provide goods and services to UC Berkeley departments
  • Provides small business resources to departments; works with them to consider and purchase from small businesses to support their operational and research needs.
  • Assists campus project teams, which have been awarded federally funded research contracts and grants, to develop small business plans which enable them to achieve specific federal small business utilization goals as directed under the FAR Part 19, and 40 CFR.
  • Collaborates with other UC campuses and small business development programs to promote small business interests at UC Berkeley and throughout the UC system.
See the Supplier Diversity Training session designed to build knowledge and skills for managing your campus role and responsibilities in purchasing from small and minority businesses.
