We are committed to ensuring that the campus departments understand our service processes, and can use them to help achieve their academic and administrative goals. Towards this aim, we provide training designed to facilitate departmental knowledge about our business operations, and to develop departmental expertise and skill in its application.
We are available to conduct trainings by departmental request. Contact us to arrange training sessions on topics such as general procurement training, development of statements of work, and any procurement area that may be of interest.
Also relevant are the BAI training efforts. At this site the BFS/BAIRS user is able to navigate to all on-line training materials (Manuals, Job Aids, on-line player) in addition to eTrain classes.
We are working on several additional on-line trainings that will be posted soon.
Card Programs training is also available.
The Institute of Supply Management and the
National Association of Educational Procurement are professional organizations which provide training and development - see the Recommended Links below for more information, as well as ISM's policy on ethical business practices. (For more on this topic, see also UC Berkeley's Business Conflict of Interest Policy from the Controller's Office website).
