Department Responsibilities
- Adhere to the state contract for new vehicle purchases
- Inform Fleet Services of vehicles newly acquired, transferred, disposed of, taken outside of California, or operated in an unusual manner or location
- Obtain preventative maintenance and safety inspections every 6 months and smog certification every other year
- Complete all repairs required to ensure that all vehicles are safe
- Forward all maintenance records and other relevant documents to Fleet Services
- Ensure that vehicles are used on University business and drivers possess valid California licenses
